Rivals Format Pokémon TCG Event

Step into our custom-built Rivals Format Pokémon TCG event – a unique homebrew tournament celebrating iconic Trainer archetypes from the Scarlet & Violet era!
Players will build decks around a single Trainer identity and battle it out in a structured Swiss tournament to see which archetype comes out on top.
Event Overview
- Casual competitive event based on League Challenge structure
- 4–5 rounds of Swiss (depending on player attendance)
- No top cut
- Deck list required for all players
- Standard Pokémon TCG rules apply unless stated below
Deck Building Rules
- Only Standard-legal cards may be used (as of the event date)
- Pokémon must belong to one Trainer archetype only
- Eligible archetypes:
- Iono
- Larry
- Cynthia
- N
- Steven
- Ethan
- Marnie
- Lillie
- Hop
- Erika
- Misty
- Team Rocket
- The archetype restriction applies only to Pokémon
- All other cards (Trainer cards, Energy, ACE SPECs) follow normal Standard deck-building rules:
- Maximum 4 copies of any card with the same name
- Maximum 1 ACE SPEC card per deck
Prizing
- Every player receives at least 1 Destined Rivals booster pack for participation
- Players finishing in the top half receive 2 Destined Rivals booster packs
- Additional Prize Packs and booster packs awarded based on final standings
- Bonus prizes awarded to the highest-placing player of each archetype
- Players who are the sole representative of an archetype may receive extra prizes at organiser discretion

This is a fun, experimental format designed to encourage creativity, thematic deckbuilding, and a fresh competitive experience. Whether you're here to win or just try something new, all players are welcome.
