Swerve through three planes of mayhem, dodging dangerous obstacles and rival racers along the way. Crew up unique vehicles and mounts as you discover which racing team best suits your style, then hit max speed to claim the gold!

Prerelease Events are your first chance to play with the cards from a brand-new set! For the whole week before a new set is released, WPN Stores can host Prerelease Events where you'll be able to crack open some packs, build a deck, and try out all the exciting new cards and mechanics in a friendly, informal tournament. Join the race for guts and glory across the multiverse!

Event Details

  • Date: Friday, February 7th
  • Registration Begins: 6:00pm
  • Tournament Start Time: 6:30pm
  • Tournament End Time: 10:30pm (approx.)
  • Location: Shuffle Board Game Cafe

Your Prerelease Event entry fee includes access to the event itself, along with a Prerelease Kit which contains everything you need to jump into the fun!

Each Magic: The Gathering - Aetherdrift Prerelease Pack contains:

  • 6 Aetherdrift Play Boosters; each Play Booster contains 14 Magic cards
  • 1 foil, year-stamped Rare or Mythic Rare
  • 1 deck box
  • 1 Spindown die

Event Structure

  • Sealed Deck Format
  • 3-Round Swiss Tournament
  • 50-minute Deck Building Phase
  • Best-of-Three Matches
  • 50-minute Rounds

For each event, Deck building will begin shortly after registration has been completed, and be followed by 3 rounds of best-of-three swiss paired matches! Prizes will be awarded at the end of each event based on Tournament Standings, but nobody will leave empty handed...

Every participant will receive a minimum of 2 additional Aetherdrift Play Boosters just for taking part, with even more prize packs being awarded to the Tournament's top contenders!

T&Cs

Full payment of the Entry Fee is required in advance in order to secure your place at the event. Event Entry Fee payments that include retail products as part of the purchase are refundable (less a £0.50 processing fee) where customer cancellation occurs at least 7 days before the event is due to take place. Any cancellations after this time will only be subject to a refund if we can fill your space with another paying customer. If we cannot, you will still be entitled to the goods purchased as part of the event.
